Let's have a battle of the bands! This is for bands that play rock music. Enter your band to compete with others and find out who wins. This will give all of the bands some extra exposure and a great opportunity to get some feedback from new listeners.
Just how many bands enter will determine exactly how I run the battle. I might narrow them down by putting several bands up against each other and then have one final showdown. Or, I might just hold several Battles Of The Bands over the course of time. There are a few guidelines to follow to enter your band into the competition:
- Enter your band by leaving a comment on this post
- Leave your band's name and a link to the one site where you want to be found (and can also be contacted)
- Pick one particular song to run in this competition
- Your music must be of a rock genre
As an added bonus, all comments and links in this blog are "do-follow" (however, spam will not be tolerated and immediately deleted so don't bother!). There will be additional posts that will feature all of the bands in the competition. The readers of this blog will get to vote the winner of the competition! The winner will be featured here in a post and on the sidebar of the blog. Let the competition begin!

my 'band' consists of one person playing a variety of instruments (hence the name of the band is, well, just my name: John Crumley). the song i'd like to enter is "from abnegation to observation", a prog rock monstrosity (think: floyd, genesis, yes). its a bit long, but i'm proud of it!

My newest music video is just wrapping up, and will be out this weekend or Monday. I will send you a link when it's up. While I am not a band (only have 2 songs recorded, with 2 more being polished as we speak), I am intrigued with, maybe, jumping into the battle.
I would still like you to review the song when it's out.

The Battle of the Bands contest is a great idea. I would like to enter my band in the competition. The songs were recorded many years ago, but they are all original.
