The Bailout Put To Music

Usually, I don't write too much about politics. It can be such a sore subject and so many people have tunnel vision when it comes to that subject. By that, I mean that they only see their side and are ready to attack any opposing view. With that being said, here I go! However, I am going to let the music do most of my speaking for me.

I think I am going to start out with the media. Let's just say that I am not a fan. They have their own agenda that does not always have the public's best interest at heart. Don Henley pegged the media years ago. I would like to add some things to the laundry list: scare tactics, lies, brain washing, half truths, paid off and bull shit. Yeah, they know how to do some dirty laundry:

Now, for the politicians..... on both sides of the fence! I wonder just what all of those bankers did after the bailout? Did they get everything back in order for the American people...... or did they go on vacation?

There is a song that keeps going through my mind lately every time I think about the current economic crisis in the United States. I have always thought of this song as a kick ass rock song. Now it seems appropriate because isn't that what was just done to the American public? Have our asses' kicked by the people in power? That truly stinks so I am going to dedicate Lynyrd Skynyrd's "That Smell" to our wonderful politicians. Change the words around a little... "can't you smell that greed, oooh oooh, that smell, the smell of greed surrounds you!".

And that is all I have to say about that!

Here's another song about the bailout. Whoever thought you could make the Wall Street mess sound sexy?

Now who in the world would think that you could give a musical theme to the bailout... Only Kelly...
